President
Glen Smith is a seasoned entrepreneur with vast experience of founding and operating businesses in Bermuda.
Beginning as the owner/operator of a horse and carriage business in 1982, Glen has set up and operated more than 10 businesses, including such successful and well-regarded operations as ZipX and International Bonded Couriers (IBC).
Glen’s newest company, Island Solutions (Bermuda) Ltd., markets, distributes and installs the Power Cost Monitor – and also acts as a consultant to individuals and companies on the Island, whether established businesses or start-ups.
The new company grew out of Glen’s desire to go two steps further than typical consultants. That is, Glen not only identifies a problem, he puts together a plan for fixing it – and then implements the solution. That approach allows businesses to continue operating at full capacity while any problems they might have are fixed.
Glen has considerable experience in corporate governance – he is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Logic Communications, and sits on the Board of Directors of Key Tech Ltd., West Tel Ltd. (Cayman Islands), Lines Overseas Management, and Harbour Realty Ltd.
